Something To Have, Nothing To Loose

I put in the effort to win your heart, But it seems I couldn't make a start. You don't love me, though I wish you would, I keep that pain hidden, as best I could. We share laughter, we share our days, I laugh along, hiding love's disarray. My heart yearns for you, in secret it does, Yet I laugh with you, in the game of love. I worked hard to be close to you, But your love remains a distant view. I won't let you see the hurt within, I'll keep smiling, though I yearn deep within. In our shared moments, I won't reveal, The depth of the love that I conceal. I laugh and joke, pretend to be fine, But in my heart, your image will shine. Though you don't love me the same way, I'll keep my feelings hidden, come what may. I'll play my part, laughing with you, But in my heart, my love is true. In the end, my pain remains unsaid, I'll smile and laugh, bury it deep instead. My heart longs for you, but I won't let it show, In this bittersweet dance, our secrets will grow.
