Someone Always Needs Her

Even when it's not her fight, she laces up her gloves. The battles, are never her own, but she fights them. She alone, bears the invisible scars, while they go on as usual. She will drop everything, the second the phone rings. It doesn't matter what she is going through, Someone always needs her. Even when the loss is hers, she holds their sobbing faces. She makes sure they know they are loved; Though, inside she is breaking. They tell her to take care of herself, But judge her when she stands her ground. They call and she goes. Again, and again and again. She often stands before them, full of holes. Still, they take from her. Completely oblivious, to the tattered carnage before them. They are constantly reminding her how hard it is. She doesn't need a reminder. She feels their pain, her pain, and everyone's pain. "Take care of my baby" They have said. "She needs you" "I need you" "They need you" She tries to keep the pieces together. She tries to take care of herself. But someone always needs her.
