Somenight
A shifting affection has captured her sleep
Standing there on his tiptoes there's the man of her dreams.
In his smile there's emotion,a solace that she seeks
On his lips there is silence, his warm hand on her cheek.
His sweet breath trails so softly along the nape of her neck
His fingers trace a line sliding down her small back.
His faint gaze upon her face veiled the glow in her eyes
A letter on her pillow-case declared love and goodbyes.
Mr.sandman had come to her with no dust to blind
Instead He was gentle and ever so kind.
Their hearts have touched lightly but thoughts mingled deep
She wondered if somenight He'll re-visit the suite
and lay down beside her on fresh linen sheets.
