Solitude

Sometimes I like to be alone Far from pressure No need to talk Or smile If I want I can read or write Or even watch the wall You know, there’s something fascinating Watching paint dry It’s so peaceful My mind shall drift And then I hear Him laughing in the garden That infectious laugh And birds feel the need to join in And joyfully celebrate the day With Him I no longer wish to be alone I rise and go to Him Joyfully we sing Celebrating our love
