Solitary Dance
The moment the music would start, you'd look at me
Your mischievous smile beckoning me
Onto the dance floor, where you taught my hips to sway
And we would simply dance the night away
I remember you every passing day
I hear your footsteps, and see the patterns they would lay
On the sands of my heart, and every atom in me
Even on the saddest day, you would fill me with glee
Your words were music to my ears
Your touch helped me wipe away my tears
You always remain in me as my guiding light
As a beacon helping me through life's night
You're no longer with me but you reside in me
Your memories help me in maintaining sanity
So thoughts of you I will always hold onto tight
Waiting for you while I dance alone every night
