Soldier

Oh uniform, line of girls on the wait ready to send you on your way, away from me. I'm not afraid to find you'll drop me to hold her just cuz she's new skin, you're my soldier, and you probably always have been. You don't crave me because of youth or smell or beauty... but only for the reason that I am me. You're gonna be the first man to hear me sing. Got battles of your own but you fight for mine too, and you can count on me saving you whenever I can. You were the man who was faithful when it mattered the most, O my soldier. For you my walls will fall, fall, fall permanently. You don't want new territory just because its new, you crave me. You're immovable as a boulder yet you let me fly, soldier, fly high, soldier. And I know you're not gonna save me when the world gets colder. You're gonna teach me how to be the best soldier... I'm ready to lean on only your shoulders. be my, be my soldier. Is that alright? Is that alright with you?
