Soft Breathes
The air feels thick
And warm
The light is soft
And protective
I’m oh so small
And hidden between
Deep breathes of
Warm air and
A whisper
Or whispers
I can’t hear
I can’t listen
I can’t understand
So I wait for you
As the light fades
To a mist
In that mist I saw
You
But perhaps it’s this
Thick air
Flowing into my lungs
And heart
Loosening it till
I feel like
You could love me
But oh I feel so small
So very small
And I can’t hear
But I swear I’m trying.
