Socrates
Calm and candid in sagely guise,
A free man bold who paid truth's price;
Name forged vivid among the wise,
Did query cold, clear thought surprise;
Instruct the wit as questions hurl,
Demand the truth as logic frames.
See reason fit what thinking swirls,
Obsess clear proof beyond mind games;
Choice dares forfeit all without fear,
Reach a sure feel for love of truth;
Ask blind conceit to answer here,
Trust instinct feel with solid groove;
Escape not then what conflicts trace,
Sense surely when fate confronts face.
