So Sleep My Child
So Sleep My Child
So sleep my child as sun does go down
And there is much darkness all around
Now sweet child before you start to sleep
Always ask kind Lord your soul to keep.
God will protect you through the night
What you shall see is full of delight
Countless bright stars up in the sky
And will soon fall asleep bye and bye.
Quiet it now is for all does stand still
While moon shines down on window sill
Nothing has moved yet still it seems
He's gone off to land of many dreams.
