Snowflakes

If every snowflake’s different, Which is what I’ve always heard, Then their patterns, if you counted, Would have numbers quite absurd. So it wouldn’t be impossible, In theory, if we say That, like twins or triplets, some of them Have matching DNA. There is just no way to prove it But I’ve always been a skeptic Of that snowflake speculation And I pooh-pooh the acceptic.

Yes, I've always question this unique belief about snowflakes. With zillions in any storm, how could each one be inspected? There is statistical counting which is how the number of stars are determined, but here again no one knows for sure because not all stars in the universe are known or have even been discovered yet! Thank you for enjoying my oat poem. Yes, I always try to make the last line unexpected and a surprise. / M

It's really not that hard to imagine. You're taking about an ice crystal and how water freezes. Just a fraction of a number, on any given line could vary from second to second depending on the changing temperatures. Not to hard to imagine:) Love the thought provoking write, Mrs Ilene. Fun stuff:)

Really enjoyed your poem Ilene:-) I'm with you on being sceptical on each snowflake being unique the numbers would go off the scale! :-) hugs Jan xx
