Snow Will Follow
Does a snow flake flow upstream at midnight
With a mountain waterfall so vertically up
Is the moon blotted out by storm clouds mounting
While some insignificant ice thing melts
On such evenings as this where shadows thrive
Given the lack of light and evidence given
Who is to say what is or isn’t
What gives credence to a crystalline
Frozen then gone in an instance
Snow blends in, transforms the darkness
Merges with so many droplets at a cost
Flowing soft but hard against the rocks
Where tears hide by muffled sounds inside
Waterfalls crash but never cry
Is this how life and love begins
Forming midnight on a mission
While another snow flake falls
Goes missing with the others lost
