Snow Soldiers
They march, stomping through the miles and miles of
white blankets of snow
A sudden winter breeze brushes against their cheeks,
marking them with a color rosy
The crystal flakes weigh down the protective headgear
of the brave soldiers, as they march and march
Hills of frost they climb, hiking the mountains,
as well as facing a horizontal terrain of white
What journey they must endure, striving to
arrive to their secure abode
Such trees of sorrow they encounter, for they
have to abide with the ample tears of winter
The snow soldiers alas reach sanctuary, where they
embrace the warmth of comfort, treasuring
the feeling of finally arriving home.
