Slip Away and Pray
When I am tried and tested severely,
And I don’t know what to do,
I just slip away and talk to Jesus,
And He gives me Grace to see me through.
When the burdens get so heavy,
I just whisper His name in prayer.
He, alone can comfort and help me,
Anytime, anyplace, anywhere.
He knows what I need before I ask.
He has the answer to my petition before I pray.
While I kneel in humble contrition,
By faith, I know the answer is on the way.
When I seek Him with all my heart,
I find Him ready to hear my cry.
What a wonderful friend is Jesus,
So willing to help me, and always nigh.
