Slice of Cake

Ever been treated like you’re a slice of cake? By the kind of sleazy men that slither like a snake? They’re not the type to give, they’re the kind that always take. To all the women, listen, and avoid this grave mistake. This is what I say to men who think they are so slick. “I’m a lady, not a hoe, a slice, a treat, a chick. Go away, get lost, quit acting like a trick. Save your breath for others, such behavior makes me sick. I’m not some fresh baked cake that you can get a slice. I’m not a cupcake you can use for your pleasure vice. Even though you talk sweet, I know you’re nothing nice. Play with fire and get burned, Cheat and pay the price. You say I’m pretty and I’m sweet That I look good enough to eat But I’m not some fancy dessert For some dude that wants a treat Yeah a little bit this And a little bit of that A generic compliment here Predictable flattery there A married man with an appetite A piece of me, a taste, a bite Warm biscuits Parted and buttered A hot dish A Side item Fast food In and out burger Coffee, tea, me?? A dining experience Yeah, have it your way Just drive through Grab it to go That's what you do! Why eat out? That’s not what marriage is all about. Your spouse should be the only meal, a balanced dinner, that’s the deal. In the privacy of your home, but still you’re on the prowl and roam. You say you only want a slice, and take no thought about my life. You eat, wipe your mouth, and say you have done no wrong. But it’s twisted, and perverted, that’s why I must be strong. I’m not your food, set on a tray, prepared for you to go filet. I’m not a snack that you can taste, half consumed then left to waste. Such display of appetite as you grovel for a little bite. Sugar-coated, insincere, across the room you drool and leer. You’re hungry, and you think I’m food. Weren’t you raised to know that’s rude? Chocolate syrup and whip cream. Im a lady. Don’t act obscene. You gawk and stare, and you don’t care. You care less that I’m aware. I’m not a slice of cake, or french pudding for you to take. Your wife’s the one that you should bake. Remember I am wide awake. You make a bet with your friends, and think Ill buy into pretend Convince me love is for a night. Won’t you ever get it right? Listen ladies be strong and know, these men think its a fun gameshow. Don’t sell yourself short. Don’t settle for less. Remember you can pass this test.
