This sonnet came to me, whilst I was unable to sleep a few nights ago.

It seems you only appear whilst I am asleep, teasing rapid eye movement to awake and weep. You hide, so I wonder how beautiful you must be, fulfil my desires and give me the chance to see. I believe you have beauty, eyes have never seen, which allures me to places I have never been. Maybe you were sculpted by Michelangelo's hands, DaVinci drew you a smile only he understands, Rembrandt's hand trembled at the sight of your grandeur, maybe you are the one, Raphael's angels adore. Your image mirrors Cleopatra's unique class, which fades at daylight, regrets begin to amass. I do not know your name, Silent remains the tongue, yet I fondly believe in my heart you belong.

This is a great poem, I love your style of writing. This poem puts you in a romantic mood. I don't like a lot of the Writers today for the use of foul words and twisted themes. Your poems are easy to understand and as long as you write I will read and enjoy thank you.

Oh, there is such a deep longing in this poem, Silent One. And I can relate to the way the words came to you just before you fell asleep. It's in that alpha state that we write our most creative poetry. Outstanding! A fave for me. (May both of us find the one we are seeking.) Hugs, Carolyn

Wow! Silent , You have penned such a well written Sonett. Good content and rhythm. I enjoyed how you incorporated all of "painters" in this fine piece. The poem and the "lady" are beautiful. Well done. PS, Welcome back my friend. I missed your pen and your unique style:-) Alexis

Wow, sculpted by the hands of Michelangelo, painted by the Masters DaVinci and Rembrandt, adored by Raphael s Angels, and bringing it home with Cleopatra's class would be every woman's desire to look like this woman, every man's fantasy, not just in his dreams but reality. A beautiful sonnet Si, a well crafted masterpiece. Good to see you back...Maria

The beauty of your poetic lines are beyond Heaven, Silent One. Tender longing and emotional imagery flows flawlessly and gracefully in your masterful poem. 'Rembrandt's hand trembled at the sight of your grandeur, maybe you are the one, Raphael's angels adore' - such poetic magnificence!! So great to see you back!! You've been missed.. ~Susan
