Sleep, Sleep, Wonderful Sleep
I want to go to sleep again,
My needed peeing is all done.
But, I can’t seem to fall asleep
No matter how I try.
I’d try counting those jumping sheep
That mother sleep keeps in her yard,
But, I’ve not seen one- white or black-
That I can start to count.
I want to go on back to sleep,
Instead of lying here awake.
It’s five am and mother sun
Is rising o’er the hills.
Sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep, wonderful sleep,
I wish that you would fill my eyes.
If not, all day I know I’ll be
Hard to get along with.
