Six String Love Affair:

Six Dean Markley strings, How my Maton sings, Resting upon my bridge and nut, Watch me closely watch me strut. With my Maton body, I caress, Creating electric dreams to mess, Hammer offs and hammer ons, Add in riffs to complete the songs. Down acoustic streams, I float, Playing by ear the music I wrote, Listening to what the music said, Playing till my fingers bleed. Duffing here and duffing there, Those squealing strings everywhere, Time for me to flick my licks, Amongst other guitar tricks.

My ears are straining to hear your playing. Well done.

Very cool Rick. I like how you kept this one wound about the theme nicely and created a melody in my mind as I read. This is one I can definitely relate to, though my favorite in my collection is my Takemine cutaway. I just love the sound that guitar puts out.

Are you sure this is about guitars, I'm not? :) Quirkily rousing.

This is just wonderful. Do you have music playing, or hearing it in your head while writing?

Yeah, in fact you answered both my questions. I sometimes write lyrics to music too, and then yeah, can't do without. When writing poetry I use music to get in the mood but not necessarily during writing itself.

When I write a song I have to write the lyrics to the music, but when I do poetry, I do it in silence! Does that answer your question? Whenever I write a song without the music I always forget the melody! Haha, /|\
