Sins of the Flesh
flesh of the flesh
all men were born into sin
painted by the same brush
in the garden of Eden
God has been somewhat disappointed
since He gave man free-will
for some of the choices that men make
are of hatred and ill-will
But He was not about to accept defeat nor loss
He sent us a sacrifice of blood on the cross
in order for Him to understand what was in the minds of man
His Spirit became a manifestation to carry forth His master plan
Jesus of Nazareth was God's missionary Son
flesh of the Father, The Appointed One
He came in human form so He could feel what man feels
He came to bring salvation so that man's spirit could be healed
but like most things that man can't completely comprehend
mankind tends to disbelieve and disregard them
we only seem to be concerned with our corporeal ways
unwilling to accept anything that's not evident right away
yet many have now come to finally see
that God is the Creator and Father of all humanity
Jesus Christ is the Son and Deliverer of our salvation
the Holy Spirit is the comforter of mankind's reconciliation
the Lord is our shepherd and we are His faithful sheep
our Father, our protector and of our souls He does keep
mankind has learned to see that to live you must have hope
and God gave us a solid foundation that will help us to cope
sins of the flesh, washed away by the blood
a new creation in Christ with God's unconditional love
