Singularly Blessed
Singularly Blessed
By Rick Rucker
I’m stunned that I could be so lucky,
I’ve always thought myself resilient and plucky,
But lately, everything that could go wrong,
Has instead, worked out strong,
Things that have turned out in my favor,
Have let me feel Victory that I could savor!
Even the least likely things,
Have let me win, with no strings!
Thinking back, I can see,
Just when this Luck came to be,
It seems a most unlikely place,
In a restaurant, our first Date, where I first saw your Face!
Since then, everything turned around,
My feet no longer touch the ground!
From that time to this, even more after our first Kiss,
You have shown me Unbelievable Bliss!
I suspect this Luck will last,
Though I’ve never had it in the past,
That I won’t ever suffer Harm,
As long as you are on my arm!
I’m going to give Fate a tweak,
I will buy a single lottery ticket this week,
Some think that risking money is a sin,
I’m not, I fully expect to win!
