Singlish Sway
Outline the case for dialect strange,
Notes in pidgin where locals groom.
Sense turn of phrase in language change,
Indulge new tints as gossip blooms;
Notice the sway of word import,
Glimpse patois proud in corrupt poise;
Lines broken stay in lapsed export,
Invoke voice loud in lingo choice;
Sense a sure state of new affairs,
Hurl of patch code in Singlish tote.
Sense broken plate spring a new flair,
Whirls of crude mode forge local vote;
Allow brisk slang to feed impulse,
Yield to Big Bang in curious pulse!
