Single Flame

Single Flame Single flame flickers No real warmth given Illumination is minimal This single spark of light evokes emotions A finishing touch to a possible amorous night A source of comfort in a pitch black room A prop to heighten fears Giving silhouette to an imaginary fiend This rather, seemingly benign incandescent flame Wraps itself around anything within its radius Sparking our fascination Whilst fuelling our imagination
