Simplicity
There's such a simple thing as sitting on the porch
Where summer rose of Sharon leaves overhang the rail
I'm relaxed on our old fashioned swing made of slats
Where a fine grey and white stray kitty cat has adopted us
He prances gracefully and now and then rubs my legs with his
tail
Looking off I wonder at the avenue of great old trees
They rise sky high lean to meet each other over the street
Weather thus far has been hot to mild
Today is mild
I'm thinking....why don't I spend more time like this.....
Why doesn't everyone spend more time like this?
There is a pot of mixed flowers sitting on the post by the
stairs and
One or two early blossoms have burst out on the rose of Sharon
tree
The house next door has flowered nicely at the side
The street so far as I can see is spotted with fine bloom
Now a gentle breeze sweeps in just barely spreads and
soothes my hair
Yes this is pure luxury pure ecstasy
