Silver Angel

Smokey mirrors and polished floors, hide not your reflection nor deepest desires, for are your eyes the mirror and deception pristine as the floor of this hallway, thoughts tiles washed clean of the flood of denial, the tears of defeat, Goodnight silver angel, sleep won't set you free. How do you feel, knowing you crushed him so deep? Like the crushing of rice under ones feet, Tainted wedding bells ring as true as your darling impulse, Your gown stained with the truth that you hid for so long, In love and in lies, in love and in lies, Goodnight silver angel, this won't be goodbye. No shame in greed, no shame in desire, The world for a kiss, the world for a night, Just a night to know reality, a night to know truth, It isn't fair to leave me hanging like this, I have some questions to ask, some questions to be heard, Goodnight silver angel, may your lessons be learned.
