Silver and Gold

I’m cursed to be silver when I’m jealous of gold The way the sun bounces off every surface it finds I twinkled like moonlight but you preferred day I tried to awake you, I sent you my stars I’ll sparkle like diamonds Like second hand mirrors I will send you the sounds of night You wanted gold but I’ll always be silver So maybe silver is right
