This poem was inspired by Queen's song, Bohemian Rhapsody.

I remember when I was a poor boy and nobody loved me mamma's tears felt like acid burning holes in my heart - I became breathless triggers came without a guarantee violence swept like an adversary in silence i found my sanctuary my bubble an escape from reality grenades of my ancestors detonated along my destiny I burned in a bonfire of misery papa's demons were too loud so I hid my heart behind a shroud as fatal tumors cursed my tongue my sighs turned into a melancholic song triggers came without a guarantee violence swept like an adversary in silence i found my sanctuary my bubble an escape from reality as the novelty of poison wore out through the Devil's death i began to shout his assassination set my soul free childhood pain became my poetry once I was a poor boy with silent ink, but in adolescence I've learned to think i used to wish I had never been born but it's pointless living with bitter scorn As withheld words escaped through winds of change regretful tears from fears were blown out of range

when it comes a time, no matter what we speak to another, can fall on deaf ears and blind gazes..to ink it all out, reaching even one person is an honor and a journey to be travelled..

This is a cool take on what some have rated the best rock song of all time. "Nothing really matters, anyone can see..." Awesome

Intense, Silent One, re of the boy and Queen's signature song. Mr. Mercury's private life radically differs from his flamboyant performance for the week I entertained him and the guys for their concert in the Bay area. I smiled several times when somebody would call him by his former name, and then he would abruptly stop talking to me and while turning say, "Who are you talking to? Wow, at that time AIDS was unknown to the vast majority with the likes of San Franciscans too, my friend Aloha William

Rock on, my friend. The chorus lines are so powerful. triggers came without a guarantee, violence swept like an adversary. Your lyrics tell a sad story.

after reading your poem I was completely silent (no pun intended) for a moment then became teary-eyed thinking of the boy in this powerful and emotional poem. I appreciated the boy's renewal in no longer feeling the need to be bitter. These lines resonated with me: grenades of my ancestors detonated along my destiny I burned in a bonfire of misery Those types of abusive homes are generational. Your poem was undoubtedly one of the best ones I read today. You continue to wow me! Sara

Dear S.O., Your imagery's potency knows no limitations. Simply categorizing them as artistic, original, and extraordinary does not fully honor your role in sparking the deep emotional power of an ensuing inferno. Your talent is nothing short of astounding. Your words not only caress the ethereal universe, but they also leave everlasting impressions on its hallowed territory, assuring that this lyrical passage from sadness to renewal, will be remembered for all time. A fave for sure

SO, power on wheels! Your images are beyond powerful. To say they are creative, innovative and unique does not do them justice or give you the credit you deserve for creating the emotional intensity of a burning fire. Simply amazing SO. Your words not only touch the world of the spirit but they leave their footprints there to remember this poetic experience - this journey from grief into healing and restoration. Thank yo for this amazing poetic gift. Blessings!

I feel the link to the intensely emotional Freddie Mercury anthem, but where his ends in despair at facing the gallows and his demons, your story rises to a place of hope, and puts the myriad past hurts into a healthy perspective. "Childhood pain became my poetry" is an anthem many of us can hear ourselves singing. I love the alliteration in the last couplet and the imagery in "escaped through winds of change". I found these lyrics very touching. Well done and thank you for sharing, adding to my Favs~ John

This poem felt like speaking the words of my soul, to be honest.. Sigh, literally made me so emotional and tear-up. I can resonate with the ache of this poem as somehow "childhood pain became my poetry" this relates with me too.. "mamma's tears felt like acid burning holes in my heart -" I can deeply connect with this in my heart's most vulnerable cores. Dear Silent One, this is a pure art where emotions have been deciphered through poetry, in a soul stirring way. An absolute FAV for me indeed

How do you do this, every poem of yours emanates so many emotions and just pulls my heartstrings so eloquently. “ papa's demons were too loud so I hid my heart behind a shroud as fatal tumors cursed my tongue my sighs turned into a melancholic song” this hits home and is so heart wrenching to read too: i can feel the depth of every line in this and the sincerity of emotions delivered here too touched my heart. Sigh poignant and soulful: “ once I was a poor boy with silent ink, but in adolescen—
