Notes: Like most poems this is a work in progress. I confess this poem and the previous; “The Owl and the Crow” were indirectly inspired by the poet Ghalib. I say indirectly, because I am most certain, to grasp the beauty and meaning of some of the eastern poets, once has to listen to one who knows them and talks of them, for it is he who shall put wings to their verse. When you sit and talk with one who understand and has a passion for these verses, they come to life in the present. This is also the great joy, of learning of others and seeing the joy of humanity that crosses all bounds and continents.
