Scattered abroad universally recognized ornate and colorful standing tall and silent anchored aground on strips of land jutting into the sea. Sending light into the darkness cutting half-circles through blackness Sweeping beams warning unwary sailors of low tides and danger.

Thanks, Ilene. I love them too. This was the absolute first poem of mine ever published, but I never saw it, because I didn't get a copy of the publication. If my memory serves me correctly, it was in Lighthouse magazine, several years ago.
