Silent Day
There she sat all alone sitting with her hands folded
As distant light had shone as so time has remolded
Her eyes being slightly closed her head bowed forward
As in her mind she composed a prayer for the Lord
She sat there in silence as occasionally her eyes rose
With a peace one could sense but rarely ever knows
The darkening of a cloud but this she didn't even see
For her head was bowed to the One who set her free
She seemed to be in no hurry in staying for a while
For a life without such worry is much less of a trial
As still there she sat in praying the whole time long
Just having her little chat with her soul in full song
As the bright Light had shone she began to kneel
Such peace she knew this you could almost feel
This woman was not alone the Lord by her side
As on her His Light shone as for her sins He died
