Silent Cries
SILENT CRIES…
Bombs know no agony, pain or joy;
No victory nor defeat:
They simply explode.
Bullets, like starving maggots,
Crave flesh;
Their warm hungry satisfied
By the chill of death.
Between the banks of war,
Peace anchors
In the bloody waters of life:
Once more and gain, the cries of children
Of a darker hue
Are muffled by the screams of others elsewhere.
