Silencing the Voices

I'm alone here it's just me. And the people in my head. Screaming, cursing, blaming. Your fault, you, you, you. You caused it. You allowed it. You could have stopped it. How? Eyes closed, mind rewinding time. Soft hands, a gentle smile friendly eyes. Hurt, pain, blood pooling on the floor. Empty nakedness on cold tiles. A locked door. How? How? Your fault, you, you, you. You caused it. You allowed it. You could have stopped it. How? Eyes closed, mind rewinding time. Loving touch, promises of escape a better future. Rope bound wrists. Burnt flesh, bleeding wounds. Choking, turning blue. Hurt, pain, a locked heart. How? How? Your fault, you, you, you. You caused it. You allowed it. You could have stopped it. How? How? How? How do you stop the nightmare? How do you stop Blue Beard on his steed? How do you stop his abuse? How do you end the pain? How do you stop crying? How do you put the voices to rest? How?
