Should I Have Stayed
Through hills that glisten of a jade,
I ask myself should I have stayed.
As golden sunlight breaks thru storms,
I now know beauty in endless forms.
Here I slumber on the chest,
Of this earth whose peaceful rest,
Has breathed to me a wanderlust,
Whose power swoons, whose cheeks are flushed.
How blessed am I to hold the hand,
To count the stars, to walk, to stand.
Here I am with countless powers.
With eyes for sight, with nose for flowers.
But what chance should be that I cannot,
Have sight for stars, have mind for thought.
So blessed am I to be so whole,
With beating heart, with throbbing soul.
What fancies the hearts and wraps it so tight.
To dance in the dark beneath the moonlight?
