Should I Be Content

Should I be content? With what I haven’t tasted With what I haven’t felt Places I haven’t been to The hand that life has dealt Or should I rend my wings As I burst into flight And soar for just a while In blur of vivid white Claiming the day and night Then fall to the ground spent Unable to repent Lying still to die My last thoughts A question why I could not be content Eileen Manassian Ghali

Contentment, an illusive condition for very many people, the desire to go beyond the hedge and taste something different is hard to evade. Interesting write my little Desert Orchid. Take care, Richard
