Shore Line Fog

The cool evening breeze blends With the warm beach air And the thickening summer Fog rolls over the shifting sands The fog moves gently Floating over the retreating waves And the hushed empty shore, Toward the hectic urban streets Fog muffles the sound Of life, as if Tucking us all in With a heavy winter comforter Nature’s nighttime breath Edges forward, encircles everything, Gently telling us Be still, Good Night
