''Observations of Joseph's shop.'' The artisan moves unhurriedly, With smooth efficiency, Making no demand on rest. Fragrances of shavings, dust & lacquers, Brush the senses for ever. Unrelated trees, shorn of bark & branch, Wait their turn, haphazardly. Grain caressing hands guide eyes, To find the hidden shapes, With-in the log, bough or plank. Palm polished work tools, share space with, Basket, wheel, bowl, sign & frame. History etched work tops tell stories, Of practice & success. Who would not aim to emulate such gifts, Given, skills & talents earnt. Prov. 22:29. Rom.12:6.

I love the smell of a carpentry shop, saw mill or other places that work wood. Sawdust and such... I rather enjoy watching wood-working. Thank you for sharing this brilliant poem. a 7 from me
