Shooting Star

The cord was cut and I took another step. Wasn’t sure about all I saw but it seemed to take my breath. A cool drink of water began to calm me down. I can only try to understand moving forward upon this shaky ground. Looking at so much heartache and I try to figure out why. Try to greet a stranger, and all I get is his back I guess that’s good-bye. Whatever happened to the simple things in life? Never needed to have it all, yet my back doesn’t need this knife. Feel the eyes on me with every step I take. What you see is what you get, there’s nothing about me that’s fake. Oh shooting star can I come take a ride. So much here that’s wrong and I can’t make it right. Just need a little break with the wind cool on my back. When I come back down I promise I won’t fall between those cracks. Oh shooting star can I come take a ride. I just need a little break I’m not trying to run or hide. Walk these crowed streets with emptiness all around. Still a smile on my face yet the sorrow is raining down. Try to choke these tears down, so much misery that I see. Wish I could blanket those who have lost hope, I pray upon my bloodied knees I can only offer what’s in this heart is there enough to go around. I can only do what I can to show others what I have found. So long I kept falling back and getting cut by my own sword. Only just realized and used it right to finally cut the cord. I’m no wise man just finally caught my breath. Just wanna take a ride on a shooting star to see the misery that I left.

Smile ~ I love the soulful brush applied to this wonderful canvas my friend; profoundly deep, indeed but, why not consider reaching for a more permanent instead of shooting star say, "The Bright & Morning Star" for, eternity amid the heavens is in "His," dust....Smile, "Beautiful Song My Friend" ~ "My Love & Warmth to 'You & Yours,' Always," John! ~ Smile, "Have A Very 'Blessed & Beautiful' Holiday;" Bye!:) ~
