shine your light shine it down on me when i was a boy and my mind unclear yeah i would toil always in fear when i was a boy in need of a fright and i just pondered for the rest of my life shine your light shine your light on me now i am a man and my world is down try to keep my head on my way is not found now i am a man still tears i do shed unto the ground where many men has bled shine your light shine your light on me now im close to the grave to late for help now i don't want to be saved any way i don't know how now im close to the grave all my money is spent on my bed my head is layed and i ain't payed the rent sine your light shine your light on me and im close to tears as im looking back all over my years it ain't just wisdom i lack so im close to tears i cant seem to fight got my family near and they say its alright well shine your light down upon me let me see that light yeah im on one knee gonna shine it bright shine your light for me all i need is your light shining down on me
