A flood of unfamiliar faces, Shoes with Velcro, not with laces, Missing memories, times and places, Hosting in the hospital here, Staring at strangers? someone dear? Is it not what it may seem? Is it real, or do I dally with a dream?   Through haze, ghostly evocations glow. Fair face, fresh flowers, dancing slow - Just my imagination?  I don't know. I must've fallen in a trance - Can't be me - I don't dance. This beauty in my conscious stream, Is she (was she?) real, or just a dream? Whispering, walking in the wood, Wishing, wondering, if she would - Understanding, Understood. Did, together, we once stand? Did I ever hold her hand? A wonderful wife, a titan team - Is she real or do I dally with a dream?

Hello David, A wonderful exploration of memory, identity, and the blurred lines between reality and imagination. I loved that through your lyrical verses, you navigate the uncertainty of unfamiliar surroundings and fleeting recollections, questioning the authenticity of experiences and connections. Your reflection on the elusive nature of reality and the enduring power of love is both introspective and thought-provoking. What a heartfelt journey through consciousness. - Blessings, Daniel

Thanks Daniel, I appreciate your reading and the kind review. I should be papering my walls with these reviews. I particularly like this one. I feel like some of the reviews spawned by my poems exceed the poem itself!

well, you nailed the alliterative form in your love poem/tribute. Delightful read and sound contest entry. Have a delightful day, David!

Thanks Sara, have a wonderful day. It was a good exercise. I don't remember consciously trying to alliterate (sometimes accidentally) - something to think about in the future.
