Shedding Beauty

A girl once told me, "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful." All the while I couldn't understand why. I thought to myself, The birds sing for you Like you are one of them. A beautiful peacock. However, you act like you pluck all your feathers For the world to see. They don't hate you, But how can they think you're beautiful?
