She Wore White
that day
through the church window
she wore white
a bounding white gown
joining them
enmeshing their existence
he celebrated
this vision of her
blurry with tears
this day
through the hospital window
she wears white
only a crisp white sheet
separating them
laid across her cold body
covering half his soul
he mourns
this vision of her
blurry with tears
