She was special For such a long, long time . . . I knew her ways, Her hidden thoughts. She left me no surprises . . . Until . . . She was gone. It was my love for her. I missed . . . The touch of hand and soul, The sleeping - and the waking, The laughing - and the crying, . . . But, most of all . . . I missed the quiet times When soul touched soul And eyes spoke Quietly and softly, Until the heart of love was filled, And spilled in tears, Like gentle rain.
