She Wants Fast Life
A high school graduate sits at a liquor store,
looking at her life sweetly slipping in the hands
of people she calls friends.
Every guy in the street knows her name,
which is thrown all over like newspaper tabloids
in their previous nights.
She’s thrilled enjoying the fast life,
which she molded for herself. Her life sometimes
is so fast that she can’t keep up with it. Drugs and sex
help her to forget that she’s been left behind.
Sometimes she steals from her older sister,
who’s struggling with her own fast life,
so that she can keep up the pace.
Her body is ebony and beautiful,
but it carries tales which only can flow to her mouth,
if she lets them;
sadly she’s weaving her own sad tale,
without knowing it…..
