She Walks the Valley

She walks the valley holding a black rose as she searches for her lost love, they were together for a long time, frolicking throughout the night in their prime. Villagers see her shadow against the full moon, the air reeks of sulfur as she passes by, hearing her haunting sobs of dark despair hiding in their homes is more than they can bear. Over the years a shroud covers the valley, sunshine and blue skies are from the past, her body is shrunken and quite gaunt, finding her lover is part of the haunt. She walks the valley holding a black rose,. as a prisoner of a circle keeps her in chains, her tears of black petals join a windy storm, making her disappear and no longer a form.
