She Took a Journey

A Thursday morning it was, When I waved her goodbye, Little did I know it was goodbye forever, Days turn and fold, As I watch the door, Waiting for her to knock to return. Memories turn, Memories speak, Of the days we shared , Every laughter comes to my ears, Every smile to my dreams, Watching to see the days again, I pass through each lonely day. Angel angel so you were, What came knocking on your heart, To announce you will never return, Angel angel though little I gave, Could you not see my love for you was real? The radio still sings, The songs we loved to follow, It reminds me of each little dance, You made to follow, Now the radio reminds me, It is time to cry again.
