She Smiled
She smiled.
But deep inside
Her soul hurt.
Her mind was a mess.
Her thoughts killed her.
Yet she still smiled.
Covering up the pain,
Hiding it from the world.
She was destroyed,
Broken, Empty.
But she still smiled.
Slowly dying,
From what was inside.
Driving her insane.
Yet she smiled.
Drowning in darkness.
Taunted by fears,
Haunted by the memories.
But she smiled.
Because why show the pain,
when no one cared.
