She Left Him

Devastation, destruction, emptiness, void. Words that describe the state he's left in. The love of his life left. She left suddenly, words were not exchanged Words were never shared between the two, Never shared before that 'time'. That 'time' that every being shares. That 'time' when air stops flowing. That 'time' when life leaves the body. Words of importance were never shared before that 'time'. It kills him, it pierces deep to the core. He saw your face without motion; without glow That image is embedded in his mind. He misses you, he misses you very much. The life he's in doesn't seem real. The life he lives now is surreal. A terrible heart wrenching dream, He wishes would end. He doesn't believe his moma left him, Left him so quickly, so suddenly. He misses you, he misses you very much.

How sad. Losing a parent is hard, whatever your age. Your poem illustrates that we must communicate with those we love, and tell them just that - we love them before it's too late. Life goes on, the pain lessens, but we never forget. Shirley x
