She Has Come

Sun peeks through my curtains Calling me out to play Wake up she says brightly It is a new day I look out my window To my surprise Spring has come with her Bringing new life Morning doves singing Calling to mates Perching on wires above As anxious they wait Blanket of winter Lifted and gone Left in place, flowers Every color, every kind The smell of fresh lilacs Floats in the air The world has awaken New life finally here Take it all in Every sight Every sound It's mother natures way of saying life should go on
