Shattered Moral Compass
I uncover my blackened face
My frail hands trembling
As I fervently seek the remedy
I have nothing except morsels of supplication
And a thousand restless nights to my name
Immense is my discomfort
Colossal is my distress
And tonight I finally surrender
I kneel, and I submit
As a debased lowly man brought to his knees
Pleading, begging, wailing for you to
Immaculate the sins that blot my innocence,
Conceal all atrocities I committed behind closed doors
Screaming, beseeching, weeping for you to
Nullify all transgressions that brought forth calamity,
Abolish my burden of generational tribulation
Shrieking, seething, grieving for you to
Pardon my former delinquencies that repelled hope
Become the needle of my shattered moral compass
Through your remembrance,
I inch myself closer to you
Hopelessly clinging myself
To your magnificence
Professing your unity
Out of fear of further chastisement,
Since I cannot endure
Any further separation
