Shattered Dreams 6-15-98
My dreams were not a fantasy
They weren’t unobtainable
You could have made my dreams come true
But you were only thinking of you.
Simple dreams, that’s all they were
Dreams of happiness and safety
Of peace
I asked no more of that, that
I wasn’t the foolish child
I didn’t asked too much
You were the selfish one
But those days are done
Pain you’ve inflicted
It’s all in the past
It will not last
You were wrong
I am strong
I’ve picked up the pieces of my shattered dreams
I’ve collected them all
They are all mine
They have come true
Because I realized, I don’t need you.
