Shattered Diamond

I stand here surrounded by shards they're bright, they're sharp and they pierce me, but I don't cry. We are one. Unbreakable, that's how it's meant to be a novelty, a luxury, the most valuable of all. Yet when two meets, when two clashes even the toughest bits will shatter and scatter like ashes. A precious diamond stands here, but in a million tiny pieces. It's still bright, and sharper than ever. I stand there.
