Shattered
When you left you took a piece of me
A piece that i will find impossible to recover.
You took the part of me that thought it was okay to be a disaster.
The part of me that felt it was okay when the tears rush down.
When you told me that everything would be okay I found a comfort inside
Something that I have never felt before.
You held me and for a second it felt like home.
For that second
The thousands of pieces inside came together to form a whole.
I never told you but you were my safe haven.
Now you're gone
And I would do anything to once again find the warmth
To be held and told that it will pass everything is once again shattered
Except for this time you're no longer here
here to pick up the thousands of pieces.
As I step on shattered glass
Everything is numb.
